Ocimnet.com - Apple has prepared the official "iPad User Guide for iOS 4.3" in eBook format, with an “expected” release date of March 11 in the iBookstore.
According to an iBookstore listing (pictured left) showing the guide’s upcoming availability, Apple is poised to launch a ‘book’ containing everything you need to know about the iPad starting with version 4.3 of the iOS operating system.
Set to become available on March 11, “iPad User Guide for iOS 4.3” will be a free download from the iBookstore for anyone owning an iOS device and an Apple ID.
“Here’s everything you need to know about iPad, in a handy eBook format,” reads a portion of the book’s description.
“You’ll learn how to set up your email, contacts, and calendar, and connect to the Internet. Then, with your iPad up and running it’s a great reference for any questions you might have.”
iOS 4.3 is scheduled to launch on March 11, the same day the iPad 2 will become physically available in the United States.
Touted by Apple as “the latest version of the world’s most advanced mobile operating system”, iOS 4.3 offers a faster web browsing experience thanks to the Nitro JavaScript engine used in the mobile version of Safari.
The update also brings iTunes Home Sharing, enhancements to AirPlay, the ability to choose the function of the iPad’s hardware switch (mute sound or lock orientation), and the Personal Hotspot feature for sharing a cellular data connection over Wi-Fi using GSM iPhones.
iOS 4.3 will be a free software update for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users.
The release is compatible with iPad, iPad 2, iPhone 3GS, the GSM iPhone 4 (CDMA models not supported by iOS 4.3), and the third and fourth generation iPod touches.
