You can simply buy a Sony VAIO CR series by from the internet booking it in a color and specification you desire or you can get it a from a whole sale dealer.
The new SONY VAIO CR series is coming in with a Core 2 Duo processor which is available in many different configurations like from the Intel T7100 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo up to the T7700 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo. It is coming with only one screen configuration that is 14.1 inches WxGA. It RAM can be increased to 4GB and it has a built-in wireless (Wi-Fi) 802.11 b/g for high speed interne connectivity.
Free Sony Vaio CRI used a SONY VAIO CR series dove color laptop. . Following are the specifications of my Sony VAIO CR series laptop:
* It has a 14.1 inches screen WXGA with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution with a very .glossy finish.
* Color: Dove white
* My Sony VAIO CR has 1.8GHz Intel Core 2 Duo T7100 processor installed on Intel Centrino platform.
* My laptop came with 120 GB SATA hard drive which spins at 5400 RPM.
* The main memory of my laptop is 1GB PC5300, 667 MHz, DDR2 SDRAM. Actually there are two 512MB cards installed.
* It has a built-in DVD+R Double layer which also got DVR rewriting functionality.
* It has three USB 2.0, one FireWire 400 port, one Express Card 34, one S-Video, one VGA, one Memory Stick Pro reader, one SD card reader, headphone / line-out, microphone-in, modem, 10/100 Ethernet external attachment ports and switches.
* It has a built-in wireless for high speed internet connectivity (Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n)

* My laptops came with pre-installed Windows Vista Home Premium version.
* The dimensions of the notebook are 13.2” x 1.67” x 9.8” (W x H x L) respectively.
* The notebook weighs 5.5 pounds.
Gorgeous Design:
The very first impression any one would get by giving a look to the new Sony CR series VAIO laptops is that it very well designed to attract attention of the people. As first impression is the last so Sony managed to attract many customers toward its new laptops series just because of the design. I myself bought the CR VAIO for many reasons but the main attraction toward the notebook was its stylish design. From the range of available colors to the polished metal-like accents the CR is a design that gets your attention. The dove white version which I bought particularly gives a very familiar look to Apple’s new iMac series in many ways specially design and outlook. The reason Sony adopted the iMac style is to attract college going student towards CR VAIO series because most students go for Mac the book.
The lid of the VAIO CR also has a nice glossy finish with the VAIO made by ever shinning material or some kind of Mattel alloy. The new CR series VAIO laptops gives a very clean look from the first to the last view. When opened the lid of my laptop I saw a white plastic interior of the CR VAIO then I expected that it would have been made of a cheap plastic case with a significant amount of flex to it. Surprisingly the case is very sturdy with relatively thick plastic. The interior is also given metal reinforcements where necessarily needed.
Free Sony Vaio CR
Hardware Performance:
The new Sony VAIO CR-series is coming with Intel Core2 Duo processors which provide more than enough performance. My laptop has a 1.8GHz low-end configured processor but still it gave excellent performance in my tests that I performed on the laptop. Those customers which can easily afford to pay for 2.4 GHz processors for their CR series VAIO laptops will find their notebooks extremely powerful in-spite the fact that it sis coming with a low graphics resolution adapter. VAIO CR series has 3DMark05 graphics resolution whose performance is extremely low not only this but the CR uses the Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 which shares the notebook’s system RAM which decrease not only the graphics performance but also the overall performance of the machine when the main memory is shared. The review unit I bought came with only 1GB of system RAM. If the CR was equipped with 2GB or more these benchmarks would have been slightly more impressive.
Display:
It has a 14.1 inches screen WXGA with a 1280 x 800 pixel resolution with a very not only with a glossy finish but limit less beauty with excellent color and contrast. The display features fairly bright. The backlight of the screen has eight levels of brightness. Viewing the screen in horizontal angels are great which makes the screen an ideal choice for watching a DVD or a streaming video or a presentation been given to two or more then two persons. However, vertical viewing angles are among the worst I’ve seen on a notebook in this price range. If you tilt the lid of the screen slightly the whole screen will go black and some times even wash out.
Interior:
When you will open the lid of the note book the most attractive and unique thing you will find on the note book will be its white stylish keyboard. Unlike most traditional PC notebook keyboards the CR keyboard looks more like a Mac-Book than a PC. They keys are very well cushioned. They are very touch sensitive keys and will respond to a very light touch even. But if you are a traditional keys lover then you should not be going for the new Sony VAIO CR series. The keyboard is quite solid with no flex still it is made up of plastic. But if you will get used to it then you will find it extremely soft and enjoyable then other traditional keyboards.
The touchpad of the new sonny CR VAIO series is very nice. It is comparatively very large which can be utilized in a very usable manner. It has an extreme responsive surface. The mouse buttons compared to the pad are very small and also shadowed in the body as well as very noisy making it uncomfortable for the users.Free Sony Vaio CR
Audio:
The new Sony VAIO CR has stereo sound which is made using three speakers. These speakers are located on the right and left sides of the keyboard as well one speakers on the front of the interior. Well I haven’t heard any best speakers then these built-in speakers on the notebooks. CR series has extremely great sound and you will enjoy a lot watching movies and listening to music on it. There is also an head phone jack which is located at the left side of the laptop which is the best location and external speakers can also be connected there in addition.
Heat and Noise:
The VAIO CR runs on extremely cool temperatures with the 1.8GHz Core 2 Duo processor. I suspect that with higher speed of the processors the more the heat will be produced. When running in high room temperatures the left bottom side gets slightly warm but the overall temperature remains cool enough to use the notebook in your lap. Temperatures are likely kept within acceptable limits thanks to a rather large copper heat-sink visible through the vent on the left side of the CR. The CR is thicker but lighter that’s why it remains remarkably cool overall.
The system fan is very quite in running and it can’t be heard in an ambient noisy room you will have to put your ear on the laptop to hear the noise of the fan. But the fan emits large amount heat and yu will feel uncomfortable to put your hand near the fan.
Battery:
Sony claims the battery life of the standard 6-cell battery at 2.0-3.5 hours of use depending on how you use the notebook. During my test I obtained 3 hours and 2 minutes of battery life using the notebook at half screen brightness, wireless off, and a mixture of Word usage and idling. Clearly you would need to have the screen brightness turned even lower and do little more than let the notebook idle if you want to obtain the full 3.5 hours that Sony claims. You can get a large capacity battery for an advertised 3-6 hours of usage time unplugged, but the larger battery will stick out from the back and add weight to the notebook.

Free Dell Studio XPS 16

When it comes to style, the Dell Studio XPS 16 is a step up from typical smalll business notebooks. Make that a big step up. A stunning 16-inch screen adds to its allure, making it a fitting choice as a desktop replacement or presentation machine. A starting price of around $1,100 might keep bargain shoppers at bay, but if you’re willing to ante up you’ll be rewarded with a laptop that performs well and looks even better.
Dell Studio XPS 16Strikingly Elegant Design
Dell’s XPS line ranks above the company’s business-oriented Vostro and Inspiron families, and is intended to appeal to home buyers and discriminating business customers alike. The relatively recent Studio XPS models—the Studio XPS 13, Studio XPS 15 and Studio XPS 16—employ the latest components and share a strikingly elegant design. The outer shell is done in glossy obsidian black with brushed-metal trim. A wide band of genuine leather near the spine looks great and provides a comfortable surface to grip when you carry the machine.
Inside, the black-on-black color scheme gives a modern, uncluttered feel. The full-size keyboard is exceedingly comfortable to type on, and the flat-top keys feature letters and symbols that are pleasantly backlit by a soft white glow. The same light illuminates the strip of multimedia control keys above the keyboard; those controls give quick access to volume/mute commands, play/pause/skip for music and DVD playback, and so on. Below the keyboard you’ll find a large touchpad that makes controlling the mouse easy, but note that there is no pointing stick navigator common on many business notebooks.
The Studio XPS 16 includes all the ports you are likely to need. There are three USB ports, one of which can also accommodate external SATA (eSATA) peripherals such as the latest portable hard drives, plus a FireWire port. Dell has thoughtfully included VGA, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors for attaching an external display; having all three means no matter what projector or big-screen you run across in the future, you’ll be able to connect.
Free Laptop Today
Expansion comes in the form of an 8-in-1 memory card reader and an ExpressCard/54 slot. The latter is now the standard for external expansion cards, but if you have older PC Card/CardBus or PCMCIA peripherals that you can’t part with, you’ll have to invest in an adapter (like the DuelAdapter from Duel Systems). As for connectivity, the Studio XPS 16 includes 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi standard. Bluetooth is an option, as is a built-in 3G wireless broadband radio for use with Sprint’s high-speed data network.
The Dell Studio XPS 16 features a 16-inch LCD and a sleek design.Free Dell Studio XPS
In LCDs, 16 is the New 15.4
The most striking feature of the Studio XPS 16 is its 16-inch LCD. This is a relatively new size of glass that gives you more viewable real estate than the 15.4-inch panels that have become the norm on mainstream notebooks, while keeping the machine fairly portable. At 6.4 pounds, the Studio XPS 16 is no bantamweight, but it’s better suited to occasional travel than the often-unwieldy 17-inch laptops on the market.
The LCD features a high-def resolution of 1,920 x 1,080, and its LED backlight helps the panel deliver a wider color range than lower-end screens while also consuming less energy. Image and video reproduction on the Studio XPS 16’s screen is particularly noteworthy: Colors are vibrant and well-saturated, making the machine a joy to use for photo and video work.
The screen is also brighter than on most laptops—Dell claims a brightness level of 300 nits for the panel, versus 200 nits for typical notebook LCDs—and the wide 130-degree viewing angle means you can use the machine to present to a group gathered around a conference table. One caveat: As with all high-def screens, default text sizes in applications and on Web sites can be pretty small, but at least text is amazingly crisp.
Plenty of Component Choices
Configurability is Dell’s hallmark, and the Studio XPS 16 is no exception. You can choose one of the two suggested configurations and be done, or customize your machine to your needs and budget. Hard drive choices include the 320GB unit that comes standard (and that should prove enough for most uses), a whopping 500GB model, plus three flash-memory solid state drives for crash-proof performance. An 8X multi-format DVD/CD burner is standard, but high-def movie fans can step up to a DVD burner/Blu-ray reader combo.
The Studio XPS 16 comes standard with 4GB of RAM, which is more than enough to run its Windows Vista operating system; if you run a demanding application that can take advantage of more RAM, you can configure a machine with up to 8GB of memory. And you won’t find any two-generation-old processors here: Choices range from a 2.4-GHz Intel Core 2 Duo P8600 to a 2.93-GHz Core 2 Duo T9800. The included ATI Mobility Radeon M86XT (with 512MB of dedicated video RAM) is a good choice for business 3D, and powerful enough for the occasional gaming session when work is done.
Good Value Overall
Dell backs the Studio XPS 16 with a one-year warranty that includes on-site service and toll-free tech support. You can expand that in yearly increments to get up to four years of coverage.
Granted, the Dell Studio XPS 16 isn’t cheap, but it does represent an excellent value. By the time you add the necessary upgrades to a lesser machine with a teaser bargain price, you’ll likely be near the Studio XPS 16’s $1,099 price—and you won’t be getting its slick design and high-end features.

online game

An online game is a game played over some form of computer network. This almost always means the Internet or equivalent technology; but games have always used whatever technology was current: modems before the Internet, and hard wired terminals before modems. The expansion of online gaming has reflected the overall expansion of computer networks from small local networks to the Internet and the growth of Internet access itself. Online games can range from simple text based games to games incorporating complex graphics and virtual worlds populated by many players simultaneously. Many online games have associated online communities, making online games a form of social activity beyond single player games.

The rising popularity of Flash and Java led to an Internet revolution where websites could utilize streaming video, audio, and a whole new set of user interactivity. When Microsoft began packaging Flash as a pre-installed component of IE, the Internet began to shift from a data/information spectrum to also offer on-demand entertainment. This revolution paved the way for sites to offer games to web surfers. Some online multiplayer games like World of Warcraft, Final Fantasy XI and Lineage II charge a monthly fee to subscribe to their services, while games such as Guild Wars offer an alternative no monthly fee scheme. Many other sites relied on advertising revenues from on-site sponsors, while others, like RuneScape, or Tibia (computer game) let people play for free while leaving the players the option of paying, unlocking new content for the members.

After the dot-com bubble burst in 2001, many sites solely relying on advertising revenue dollars faced extreme adversity. Despite the decreasing profitability of online gaming websites, some sites have survived the fluctuating ad market by offsetting the advertising revenue loss by using the content as a cross-promotion tool for driving web visitors to other websites that the company owns.

The term online gaming in many circles is being strictly defined to describe games that do not involve wagering, although many still use the term online gaming synonymously with online gambling. This article focuses on online games that do not involve wagering, online gambling is discussed in a separate article.

[edit] Definition

"Online gaming is a technology rather than a genre; a mechanism for connecting players together rather than a particular pattern of gameplay."[1] Online games are played over some form of computer network, now typically on the Internet. One advantage of online games is the ability to connect to multiplayer games, although single-player online games are quite common as well.
[edit] First-person shooter games
Main article: First-person shooter

During the 1990s, online games started to move from a wide variety of LAN protocols (such as IPX) and onto the Internet using the TCP/IP protocol. Doom popularized the concept of deathmatch, where multiple players battle each other head-to-head, as a new form of online game. Since Doom, many first-person shooter games contain online components to allow deathmatch or arena style play.
[edit] Real-time strategy games

Early real-time strategy games often allowed multiplayer play over a modem or local network. As the Internet started to grow during the 1990s, software was developed that would allow players to tunnel the LAN protocols used by the games over the Internet. By the late 1990s, most RTS games had native Internet support, allowing players from all over the globe to play with each other. Services were created to allow players to be automatically matched against another player wishing to play or lobbies were formed where people could meet in so called game rooms. An example was the MSN Gaming Zone where online game communities were formed by active players for games, such as Age of Empires and Microsoft Ants.
[edit] Cross-platform online play

As consoles are becoming more like computers, online gameplay is expanding. The first online game console was the Super Famicom, which offered an online service with the Satellaview. This service was however offered only in Japan. Once online games started crowding the market, open source networks, such as the PlayStation 2, Dreamcast, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube took advantage of online functionality with its PC game counterpart. Games such as Phantasy Star Online have private servers that function on multiple consoles. Dreamcast, PC, Macintosh and GameCube players are able to share one server. Earlier games, like 4x4 Evolution, Quake III and Need for Speed: Underground also have a similar function with consoles able to interact with PC users using the same server. Usually, a company like Electronic Arts or Sega runs the servers until it becomes inactive, in which private servers with their own DNS number can function. This form of open source networking has a small advantage over the new generation of Sony and Microsoft consoles which customize their servers to the consumer.
[edit] Browser games
Main article: Browser game

As the World Wide Web developed and browsers became more sophisticated, people started creating browser games that used a web browser as a client. Simple single player games were made that could be played using a web browser via HTML and HTML scripting technologies (most commonly JavaScript, ASP, PHP and MySQL). More complicated games such as Legend of Empires or RuneScape would contact a web server to allow a multiplayer gaming environment.

The development of web-based graphics technologies such as Flash and Java allowed browser games to become more complex. These games, also known by their related technology as "Flash games" or "Java games", became increasingly popular. Many games originally released in the 1980s, such as Pac-Man and Frogger, were recreated as games played using the Flash plugin on a webpage. Most browser games have limited multiplayer play, often being single player games with a high score list shared amongst all players.

Browser-based pet games are also very popular amongst the younger generation of online gamers. These games range from gigantic games with millions of users, such as Neopets, to smaller and more community-based pet games.

More recent browser-based games use web technologies like Ajax to make more complicated multiplayer interactions possible.
[edit] Massively multiplayer online games (MMOG)

Massively multiplayer online games were made possible with the growth of broadband Internet access in many developed countries, using the Internet to allow hundreds of thousands of players to play the same game together. Many different styles of massively multiplayer games are available, such as:

    * MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game)
    * MMORTS (Massively multiplayer online real-time strategy)
    * MMOFPS (Massively multiplayer online first-person shooter)
    * MMOSG (Massively multiplayer online social game)

[edit] Online game governance

Popular online games are commonly bound by an End User License Agreement (EULA). The consequences of breaking the agreement vary according to the contract; ranging from warnings to termination, such as in the 3D immersive world Second Life where a breach of contract will append the player warnings, suspension and termination depending on the offense.[2] Enforcing the EULA is difficult, due to high economic costs of human intervention and low returns back to the firm. Only in large scale games is it profitable for the firm to enforce its EULA.

Edward Castronova writes that "there are issues of ownership and governance that wrinkle the affairs of state significantly".[3] He has divided the online governance into "good governance" and "strange governance". ASUS U30JC-A1 with NVIDIA Optimus Review Article Contents

The U30JC is the latest 13-inch notebook from ASUS offering the new NVIDIA Optimus switchable graphics. Offering the best of both worlds, Optimus allows seamless switching between the Intel GMA HD integrated graphics and the NVIDIA GeForce 310M dedicated graphics. For the average user this translates into great gaming performance and excellent battery life when your priorities are writing term papers or taking notes in class. Check out our in-depth review to see how the notebook performed in our tests.
ASUS U30JC-A1 Specifications:

  • Intel Core i3-350M 2.26GHz processor (3MB cache)

Build and Design
Compared to the UL30A-A1 we reviewed in September 2009, the U30JC looks similar but seems to have gained a little weight. The profile has changed from thin and sleek to rather average with the inclusion of an optical drive. The increased chassis size might also be related to the dedicated graphics card but that wouldn't have affected the notebook size as much. The color scheme is darker gunmetal-grey instead of bright silver, a slight change from the UL30A. Inside the palmrest shares the same brushed metal finish as the lid and the keyboard surround painted plastic. Just like the UL30A, the screen bezel is glossy black. The keyboard is a Chiclet-style model, with matte black keys and silver lettering. I think the design looks excellent, and appeals to both average consumers and business professionals. The finish is also designed to look great over time, with the aluminum cladding resisting smudges and scratches.

One aspect of a notebook's design that is sometimes overlooked on models with extended battery life is the battery itself. ASUS managed to fit a flush mount 84Wh battery into the back of the chassis. It sits flush with the rear of the notebook and doesn't stick out from the bottom on the bigger U30-series. For many consumers, this means form-fitting slip cases will be easier to fit into and the notebook has a more polished look.
Build quality is above average, and the overall construction feels pretty solid. The bottom of the notebook has one soft spot, where a panel has some mild flex, but besides that there is very little flex anywhere on the notebook. The aluminum screen cover does a good job of protecting the screen from impacts, showing little or no color distortion as you press firmly on the back of the screen. Inside, the palmrest and keyboard have excellent support, having no flex at all. Another surprising quality is the very strong screen hinges, which have no wiggle and actually show a good deal of resistance.
Users looking to upgrade some components will like that there are still two access panels on the bottom. Likely because of space or strength concerns, the panels are only sized for RAM and HD access, but it is better to have them than not.

Screen and Speakers
The screen offered on the U30JC is a 13.3-inch LED-backlit 16:9 WXGA panel. The display rates slightly above average, with good color saturation and contrast thanks to a glossy surface. Black levels are good with no apparent backlight bleed at high brightness levels. However, the viewing angles don't shine with this panel. Vertical viewing angles show a lot of distortion with as little as 10-15 degrees movement forward or back. Horizontal viewing angles are better, but still show signs of mild color inversion past 45 degrees. Backlight brightness levels were very good, even at the 70% level we like to use for battery tests. At 100% brightness, we recorded a value of 208cd/m2 with our light meter. Comfortable viewing levels in the office were 70-75% and 50-60% at home.

Most thin and lightweight notebooks sacrifice speaker location for other more important aspects of the design. The ASUS U30-series offers lap-firing speakers, which sound tinny at best, muffled at worst. When you have the notebook sitting on a stand or a flat desk surface they sound average compared to other notebooks of this size, but once you put it on your lap or a soft surface they are completely muffled. Headphones are highly recommended for this notebook.

Keyboard and Touchpad
The ASUS U30-series offers a large Chiclet-style keyboard that is very comfortable to type on. The palmrest seems to be perfectly-sized even for my large hands with a soft edge on the front that prevents pressure to your wrist. The keys are very responsive with a nice springy action on each press. The individual keys appear to be almost flat, but a straight edge over the surface shows a very small cup to the center of each key. The texture is a rough matte finish, and doesn't attract finger prints or smudges.

The touchpad is an ELAN model, built into the palmrest, offering limited multitouch capabilities. The included drivers support two-finger scrolling for horizontal and vertical movement, but nothing else. I actually found it almost too responsive, scrolling both vertically and horizontally at the same time as you moved down a page. Disabling the horizontal scroll seemed to improve things in that regard. The touchpad worked quite well, having no discernable lag and equal speeds on both axis's of movement. The dimpled surface felt smooth and once it had some oils from my hand built up on it, allowed fingers to glide across it very well. The touchpad button is seesaw style, with a fixed center pivot point. Each side took a moderate strength push to trigger, with a small click given off when pressed.
Ports and Features

Port selection was good with three USB ports, HDMI and VGA out, LAN, and audio in/out. The notebook also sports a spring-loaded flush-mount SD-card slot, handy for expanding storage without needing to remove the card when putting the notebook in a carrying case. For users who still need an optical drive for burning media or loading software, the U30JC offers a DVD-burner.(http://www.notebookreview.com/)

Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Notebook Computer Cases Make Getting Through Airport Security Much Easier By Earl Calvert Platinum Quality Author

Most people find that getting through the checkpoints at airport terminals can be a royal pain. However, if they are carrying a computer, that pain is at least doubled. You are required to take the computer out of its case and place it in a special bin. This can cause a "log jam" at the checkpoint as the line builds up.
As passengers became more and more frustrated with the long lines at security checkpoints, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) took action to relieve the problem. In March 2008, it announced a new plan that would let passengers move through security checkpoints without having to take their computers out of their cases. At the same time, it requested computer bag manufacturers to design "checkpoint friendly" laptop computer cases.
The TSA sent each manufacturer a list of guidelines that they must follow if their bags were to be certified. The first requirement was that the computer compartment must be independent, that is, it could not be inside another larger compartment. This compartment could not contain anything besides the computer and it could not use metal zippers or other metal material. When the bag was opened on the x-ray belt, the computer must be clearly visible to the TSA screener. Only bags that meet these guidelines will be cleared for use at U.S. airports.
When the TSA issued these guidelines, it had one goal in mind. That goal was to speed up the process of getting passengers through the security checkpoint while maintaining the highest level of security for passengers, crew and aircraft.
Carrying a checkpoint friendly laptop bag on your next airline flight will make it easier for you to get through the security gate. A smoother transition from the checkpoint to the gate will reduce you level of anxiety about getting to your gate on time. Fellow passengers who follow will also be grateful that you did not have to remover your laptop for screening.
Computer bag manufacturers offer a variety of checkpoint friendly laptop cases. One of the most popular designs is the clam shell model. You can unzip the two compartments of this model. One hold the computer and the other holds all the computer accessories. This allows your computer to be screened without emptying the bag.
One fact that most people seldom think about is that 4,902 laptops are lost at the security gates of U.S. airports each week. However, that number has been going down since the introduction of checkpoint friendly laptop cases. Use of one of these specially designed bags will not only speed up the process of getting through security, it will also reduce the chances that you will walk away from the checkpoint without your laptop.
If you'd like to get the best deals on laptop carrying cases, you'll not want to lose out on my promotions. My deals are too good to ignore, so get ahead of the crowd and click here right now: Checkpoint Friendly Computer Bags.
